TIME TO DESIGN – Vietnam Inspiration

by Gwen Marie on November 25, 2017

Recently we spent two weeks in Vietnam and found the simplistic design and architecture to be inspiring.  The search for peaceful elegance to incorporate into your space can be mimicked using the interiors of the Amanoi Hotel,  located in Ninh Thuan Province in Vietnam.  The exterior architecture is a bold statement in quiet fortitude with its sloped slate grey pagoda roofs,  white and dark wood columns,  understated but exciting beige walls and rich wood beams and teak furniture.  Set in a surrounding of lush green vegetation the atmosphere is creatively harmonious.  The mixture of elements creates an excitement that is breathtaking.

Amanoi (an Amon Hotel) means peaceful place.   The interior room design reflects this astoundingly simple concept.  I love how the light wood is complimented by the taupe tan and off white fabrics.  The clean lines are refreshing and there is no short changing style.  The ceilings are wood beams that create architectural detail that is refined and clever. The Sutherland inspired furniture is appealing though simple. The natural fibers create a soft and inviting essence.  This is design at its best in a country at its best.  Growing by leaps and bounds, we found Vietnam exciting and open.  Open to new people, ideas and dreams, and inspiring design around the world.

Not too many places that are low key and monochromatic excite my preference for bold and exuberant color, but this property stands out as a good source of inspiration.
